Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women across Ontario, with one in eight women expected to be diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime. Regular screening can find breast cancers when they are small, less likely to have spread and more likely to be treated successfully.

Throughout the month of October, the Mississauga Halton Central West Regional Cancer Program participates in events across partner hospitals and in the community to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening.
